Faka'ofa Kiate Au
Lyrics
Faka'ofa kiate au
Ko Si'ono tataki atu,
Ke tutuki ki he 'akau,
Ka na'e 'ikai si'ane hanu
Tangi 'a si'oku lotó.
He lavea ne 'ai 'i Ho sino,
Ko e fa'o 'e fā mo e taó
Tafe ai Si'ono ta'a ta'a.
Tau tu'u hake mu'a 'o 'alu kia Sīsū he funga 'akau,
Ne pekia 'i ai 'a e Hau ko e fai ho tau fakatau.
Sīsū e ne Ke ongosia he mamafa 'emau hia,
Ne 'ikai te ke hanu pe 'i ai ka ke 'ofa he'emau mate.
'Oku tangi hoku lotó,
Tafe ai 'a e vai mo e toto
Lau na'e fakamamahi'i,
Ho tauta'a 'i Ketisemaní.
Tau tu'u hake mu'a 'o 'alu kia Sīsū he funga 'akau,
Ne pekia 'i ai 'a e Hau ko e fai ho tau fakatau.
Sīsū e ne Ke ongosia he mamafa 'emau hia,
Ne 'ikai te ke hanu pe 'i ai ka ke 'ofa he'emau mate.

About the song...
Growing up singing this song in church, I've always felt this song to be special. The beauty of this song, for me, is the lyrics. Although I don't have the English translation of this song, the English title simply sums it up: "He Who Was Crucified."
"For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent;" - D&C 19:16
